This Ethiopian Star of David is made in the ancient Jewish tradition of Ethiopia. The Jews of Ethiopia lived for centuries in northern Ethiopia. They practiced a form of Judaism but were not in contact with other Jewish communities until the 20th century, when most immigrated to Israel. Some believe them to be the lost tribe. While in Ethiopia they mimicked the local practices of the Coptic Christian community making pendants using the tradition of lost wax casting.
